Island Woman, Taha'a, French Polynesia

We met this lovely lady one day on our circle tour of the island of Taha'a. I thought her demeanor was typical of many of the people we encountered there.

My passion for photography has been developed through many years of exploration of the world’s most wonderful places. I am always keen to exploit the vibrant colors I find. The emphasis of my work is directed mainly at nature, and man’s interaction with that entity. At times I find myself in the middle of the man-made world and I like to document this as well. I tend not to photograph the generic/post card treatment of locations. I’m more interested in delving deeper into scrhia abtestenes and using composition that reflects what I’m feeling at the time the exposure is taken.
